What you should know about Cruncher
The sand can be sifted into a number of different size fractions that can be used for various applications. The sand that comes out of the Cruncher has no sharp edges and is therefore not a hazard to tyres, bare feet and hands, and the environment. The Cruncher is manufactured at our engineering works in Durban, South Africa, and therefore has 100% local content. All the machines can be used to crush glass for the manufacture of glass-concrete slabs, table tops, concrete furniture, gravestones and counters tops. We supply all the equipment and technology, training etc to set up small community projects and businesses using waste glass a the primary source material. ÂÂ Our clients are mainly using the crushed glass for the manufacturing of bricks and pavers, sandblasting grit, as a filtration medium and for manufacture of table tops, bar counters, gravestones etc. Used in the manufacture of cement bricks and pavers and replaces normal building sand. Spread round the outside of an organic vegetable garden acts as a physical barrier to slugs and snails, thereby alleviating the use of chemicals and pesticides. This glass fraction is widely used in garden landscaping as well as colourful terrazzo floors and concrete counter tops and vanity slabs. For rural areas where there is no electricity, the machine can be supplied (at additional cost) with either a petrol or diesel motor (at the purchaser’s request). The Cruncher is easily mounted on a small trailer or can be supplied with wheels for transporting on the back of a bakkie. The Cruncher can also process ceramic ware such as chipped or broken plates, cups and saucers, as well as broken window panes and plate glass off cuts (excluding laminated glass panes).
