African Pewter Works makes a range of animal and bird figurines to adorn recycled glassware in the form of handles for beermugs, stems for wine glasses, wine stoppers and pewter reliefs on drinking glasses. We have recently made miniature pewter statues for Mr Kobus Hattingh, well know South African sculptor who has done numerous sculptures of President Nelson Mandela. African Pewter Works trains and employs local people including residents of the Epilepsy Centre. All the products are handmade using the spin casting or gravity casting method. African Pewter Works was established in November 2008 and rents a workshop from Epilepsy SA in Dullstroom, Mpumalanga, South Africa. African Pewter Works combines the pewter with wood, glass and other metals and resins to make unique trophies, awards and corporate gifts. African Pewter Works makes pewter keyrings, jewelery pendants and medals. We also give pewter casting and mould making workshops.
